The Jet Black Jane lineup is:

Jet Black Jane was formed over the last few months of 2004, and began rehearsals as soon as the New Years headaches had cleared. The idea is a simple one and not anything groundbreaking: to write and play good rock & roll music and have a good time doing it. We'll be throwing in some covers to give our audience something to identify with ("Oh, they're like ______________."), and to insure that we're paid for our gigs, but original music will dominate the sets.

Our original music will remind you of classic rock, but our goal is to avoid the clichés that bring the word "cheese" to mind.

Our influences are broad, but our covers will be energized versions of some late 60's and early 70's songs. We'll offer up some Black Crowes, some Zeppelin and the like, with the kind of gusto and quality designed to induce shaking asses and shit-eating grins.

As most of those reading this know, our friend and singer Angela Luna Grano moved to California to pursue her solo career. Angela was instrumental (no pun intended) in getting our band going, and we will miss her.

Faced with the dilemma of what direction to go in, we decided to keep the format the same and bring in another singer. An old friend of Ken and Greg's, Ellen was willing to come out and give it a go.

Things clicked, and violá, we have a new and talented singer! Doubtless the band will change as a result, but we feel great about EL's ability to bring her creative energy to bear on the band's new music. As of this writing, we've created a new song, and are working on more material.
